Default AJo in SB Party 1-2

MP3 poster.

UTG+1 (Villain) raises, all fold to Hero in SB with
A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Hero calls.

Flop: 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Hero checks, Villain bets, Hero calls??

Turn: A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Hero checks, Villain bets, Hero calls.

River: J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Hero donkbets.

This is a mess:

1. Fold pre-flop.

2. Fold the flop. You have like 5 outs at most here.

3. I guess the call on the turn is fine.

4. Donk-bet on the river is bad. You really aren't beating that much. Some better hands will check the river behind if you check (like AQ). About the only thing you're hoping to see here is like KQ or 99 which aren't that likely on the river. An argument can actually be made here for checking and folding. (Think about all the standard EP raising hands that beat you: AA, KK, QQ, JJ, TT, AK, AQ... see what I'm getting at).

Out of the small blind, to an early position raiser, with AJo, yes. And I don't think it's that close.

Would you play this is MP behind an early position raiser? I hope not. The point is that you are way behind the range of standard EP raising hands for most reasonably normal players. The slight discount for the SB is negated by the fact you will have to play the hand out of position.
