Ok. Fold preflop. I figured id hear this. This guy was loose aggressive and would attempt to steal from this position with hands like kq, kj, k10, qj, q10 and low pp's. His raise before the flop indicated to me it was a possible steal. Lets say you didnt fold preflop, would you raise or call? How about the other streets?

If you think he is stealing why not push???? You are going to miss this flop a lot and have to play oop. Why are you betting again on the turn and calling his push. Don't you know he knows that you will call him just due to pot odds. So you are beat here 99% of the time.

oh yeah one last thing. fold preflop

You bet too much on the flop. If he has nothing a bet of half the pot would take it down. When he calls your flop bet I’m done with the hand.

Either raise or fold pf. You have no clue where you are on this flop, and that is scary. If he had been stealing a lot, this is a good hand for a resteal. After he calls my flop bet, then just c/f the rest of the way. No sense risking your tournament on middle pair when you still have 20BB left.

I would have played this the exact opposite way that you did, namely fold PF. Just because he's a late open position raiser, doesn't mean he's raising with junk. It'd be nice to know if you're in the money (I think you are), and at this stage after the bubble I usually tighten up. A5 is a crappy hand, especially to call a raise with late game. Even if you think he's stealing, you can't call him with junk. Wait for a better hand to call him with.

Flop- I think your bet is a little strong. The pot is what, 4400? Betting 3800 seems a little suspicious, I bet 3k there or so at most. The purpose of this bet is to see where you stand, and 3k accomplishes the same thing as 3800, and doesn't look sketchy.

Personally, I think a check would have been good too, to see his reaction and evaluate things from there. You really don't have a strong hand, at all, and if he bets something respectable like 2/3 the pot I'd just fold and save myself the chips.

His call here is *very* suspicious, especially given your LAG read.

I check/fold the turn now that he called me on the flop. Unless his b et is really small or something.

I think overall this hand is a trainwreck. You probably just went broke and blew 20 bbs with a weak holding, getting into a big pot with a weak hand.

I posted this because i knew i blew this hand up and played it wrong on all streets. I had played fairly well before this and fairly well after this, just had a brain lapse or something. Wanted to see what everyone else thought to make sure i dont make it again.
