Default Naive Question ?

How many BB do we need HU to get away of AA if we are beat at flop, in average, in a classical game ?

I only want an average estimate.

I know all is contextual etc blah blah blah but ...

If you have a classical exemple, it would be very instructive too .

I have no idea what you mean. Perhaps if you gave an example (hypothetical if needbe) then we could help.

We all know that if we have Less than 15 BB, we can't get away from AA if we are beat at flop.

So my question is, when will we be able to get away ? with 30 BB ? 50 ? More ?

I don't think this can be a hypothetical question. It depends on what comes on the flop, what type of player your up against, etc. My range of big bets would vary dramatically based on the circumstances.

I'd say the absolute minimum would be 50 bbs, but probably more. I have folded trips heads up (correctly) with like 60 bbs, so i definitely think i could fold AA in the right circumstance with deep enough stacks.

I'll propose a hypothetical, and see what people think. Mid tourney, still not in the money. Your first hand at a new table. Avg stack is around 35 BB. You have AA, raise 3xBB preflop from MP. One caller, the SB. Flop is Q-7-4 rainbow. Caller goes allin, and has you covered. How big is your stack to where you actually think "what does he have?", not "well, I have AA headsup and only __ BB left, so here's hoping it's AQ"?

he said if you were beat at flop, now we know that an allin does not automatically indicate we are beat. As you stated he could have AQ for that matter. A more obvious hypothetical would be a flop of J J 10 or 3 to a suit. How many BB's to get away from the hand? I hope this is what u meant Ryendal.

rockinggoodtime -

So you would call with AA there if your are the #2 chipstack and the SB is #1? I'm not saying I would or wouldn't or that an allin means we're beat either. An allin on the JJT flop could be KQ, AT, or QQ or who knows. It wouldn't mean we're beat there either. We don't KNOW we're beat unless they show us, and then it becomes a math problem, not a how many chips left problem.

I agree. Just saying those examples have more potential for scare than the one you posted. Any flop can be good enough to crack Aces. Think he's trying to find out how much of a stack you need to be able to lay them down. Obviously short stack can't be laying down Aces to any bet.

after thinking a little there is a lack in my question.
It depends on how many chips left after we let down our AA.

60 BB is an interesting estimate, but how many chips left after ?
