how do i manage a large stack in $3 stars tourney
Heres the situation: Early in 2nd hour of $3 stars tourney. I have T16000. avg= T6000 (I think) and that is about the stack of the 2nd highest stack at the table. I am one off the button (blinds 100/200 ante 25 if i remember correctly) with QJs.
There are 3 limpers, which is odd for this table. And i make it 800. Button goes all in for 6000 behind me and all blinds and limpers fold. My question: is it ok for me to call this? If I win the hand, it will make me 1st or 2nd in chips. if i lose i will have 10000, still plenty. I am having trouble with my fold. A side note: I have just moved to this table an orbit ago.

Easy fold and why are you raising such a small amount here?
Especially in a 3 dollar buy probabaly all limpers will call. Where you trying to steal?? I hope you don't think QJs is a premium hand. Btw this is about an easy a fold as you can get. This shouldn't even be a question.

With 3 limpers ahead of you, you should be limping with QJs. With someone making a huge raise over 4 limpers, you've got to assume they've got something good: AK or middle pair or better...so you fold. Note that its actually even worse for you if they're a little loose, since the next hand I'd include in the raisers range is AQ you're an even bigger underdog against than AK.

why are you raising a dominated hand? Just limp if you are going to play it.

Don't raise, limp here if you want to play that hand. Fold to any raise, hand isn't good enough to call.

ok I confess. I made a bad post. I apologize.
When I make a next one, it will be better thought out. I donked off all my chips shortly after so this hand stuck out. Damn. I love you all!
