Default AA against a maniac

This guy was playing like a maniac.
Seeing every flop.

36% pre-flop raise!

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (6 handed) converter

BB ($39)
Hero ($110.70)
MP ($189.65)
CO ($21.40)
Button ($42)
SB ($46)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
Hero raises to $4, MP raises to $16, 4 folds, Hero raises to $44, MP calls $28.

Flop: ($89.50) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets $66.7 (All-In)

Look good or just plain dumb?

I figuring him calling with just about any high pair. The other possibility being that he will put me on QQ giving me top set.

your only other option might be to check, and hopefully he'll bet and you can get it all in.

I don't like this at all actually. Villain can be pretty damn sure you don't have QQ. If you're willing to get all in here(and I think you have to be given preflop) why don't you at least give him a chance to jam/bluff? As it is AK and JJ go away fast - KK likely calls as you say but why not try and get some action from any hand?

Default Result (no peeking)

Villain called and showed pocket 3s for a set.

Going to keep an eye out for him in the future.
Anyone who is willing to put that much in pre-flop with pocket 3s is high on my buddies list.

check the flop. bet the turn. give him a chance to try to steal it and plant the idea in his head that a pair might beat you.

I like checking and letting a maniac hang himself.

I play it exactly the same because there are times I am pushing here with ace high.
