Default new rake at Absolute prohibitive for short and ultra-short games?

Cross-posted from the Internet forum.

To those 2+2ers who play the high limit Absolute games, which often run very short -

Have you noticed Absolute is now raking pots ($1 at the 25/50) that get folded around to the big blind? My gut instinct tells me that this is a huge problem.

(pots also seem to get max raked quicker now)

Any thoughts?

I've noticed this. Trying to figure out what the rake structure is now, but I can't see it listed anywhere.

I noticed this and it sucks. Of course, ABSOLUTE IS RIGGED, so I try to avoid that site.

Yea, I couldn't find it either. I had to e-mail support. I will post the response when I get it.

Rake is $1 for each $20 in the pot. Maximum $1 for 2/3 handed games. Max $2 for 4/5 handed games. Max $3 for 6 handed and more.

Rake is now taken even if it's folded around. At $25/50, almost any flop seen is getting the max rake.

Thank you.

However, in the link you posted, Absolute claims it has a "no flop no drop policy," and I quote

[ QUOTE ]
Below are our rake tables. The standard rake at a full table is 5% up to $3. It is our policy not to charge a rake if there is no flop ("no flop no drop").

[/ QUOTE ]

It seems like the rest of the rake schedule is updated, so it's confusing that they'd still include this statement.

Eh, I was just in a 3 handed game where it got raked $2. So, that page is obviously out of date.

Wow, that's horrible...raking pots when its just folded around to BB? I was going to create a new account there for rakeback + bonus, but I don't think I will now with these new rake changes; this is worse than Party and PokerRoom's structures.

It looks like a software bug. I've paid over $600 in rake today alone in 300 hands.

I heard in the zoo that it is a software bug, and they'll be refunding money/offering freerolls
