Hero bets 50 on flop, mp2 calls, button raises, hero 3 bets stacks.

WTF is your turn bet all about?

Edit: Hero also bets 50 on the flop with 2 clubs, a straight draw, two pair, an overpair. So now hero doesn't feel the need to slowplay his set since they so rarely hit.

i guess i wasn't very clear. i figured the way i played it looked like a draw that wanted a cheap showdown, which committed MP with his shortish stack and allowed me to push on the turn (which i did.) i guess ending my post where i did was misleading. i was looking for a general line check and also kinda wondered what everyone would do on the turn. hopefully this clarification helps.

I don't like check-calling on the flop, because with all those callers someone has to be drawing, and the pot is pretty large as well. I believe Sklansky says it best "win big pots while you can, no need for deception in big pots(thats the main idea at least, not word for word)." Take this pot <on the flop>(a nice raise), because someone is drawing, and it's not you. If they fold, you still have a very nice pot. If the donk calls with a draw, so be it, he's getting the worst of it, and if he outdrws you, thats poker(and bullshit). No need to draw in an extra caller by only calling this flop, as that only makes the 5 on the turn even scarier. Results?
