Default Take it now or build a pot?

Seems like I have run into a few tight tables lately and have been able to take lots of small pots (3-8BB) with semi-bluffs. It just makes me wonder if I should be looking to build bigger pots instead and hoping to take more of their money when we both hit? Of course this is +EV generally but do you think building bigger pots has more value? Of course building the bigger pot relies alot on implied odds as I would likely not get pot odds or enough calls to justify building on pot odds alone.

Also, I recently moved from $25 to $50 NL and find it much much easier to make money. Perhaps it is because I am less likely to call a $36 all-in than an $18 all-in but I am seeing a huge difference. Anyone else see this?
