Bet the Turn or Check? (positional question) ($25 PLO8)
Total number of players : 10
Seat 1: Kurto ( $42.03) Seats 2-7: bunch of dudes Seat 8: MAIN VILLAIN ( $24) Seat 9-10: insubstantial dudes Kurto posts small blind (0.10) some dude posts big blind (0.25) ** Dealing down cards ** Dealt to Kurto [ Ts, Qh, As, 2s ] SpongeBob36 calls (0.25) dudes fold until main villain in cutoff (0.25) button folds. Kurto calls (0.15) Some Dude checks. ** Dealing Flop ** : [ 4s, Js, 6c ] Kurtovski bets (0.75) Somedude (BB) folds. Main villain raises (3.20) to 3.20 Kurto calls (2.45) ** Dealing Turn ** : [ 7c ] Question: Am I still leading this? Am I worried about being quartering? Do I want to keep the pot smaller since I'm out of position? Or am I happy, since to get more money in with current (but no protection) nut low with a draw to nutflush? Just never sure if its good to be pot building in this position or keeping it manageable.... Thanks. |

Re: Bet the Turn or Check? (positional question) ($25 PLO8)
Without any specific reads, I'd lead out for the pot. His flop raise isn't necessarily a nut low draw with pair or whatever, so you may be freerolling him for high. In addition, if he has only a weak high, like top two pair, he'll have to consider folding, which would also be a desirable result.
