Default Deja vu all over again

This first hand is provided for context, since the action ended up being the same in both cases. CO is a total LAG, with stats of 74/45/2.1 over 40 hands. The example hand gives you an idea of the sort of play he is capable of, and he really loves to donk bet (as you can see). He pushes hard with marginal holdings, but I haven't seen him showdown complete air (just junk that hit).

I noticed that a donk bet usually meant he had something (at least a draw or weak holding), and that he did it when he improved. However he could also do it to stop what in his mind is a free card/showdown play, and it certainly doesn't mean I'm behind. It doesn't mean I'm not behind either though. What's my river action on the second hand?
