The author is clueless. Evolution(*) deals with the origins of the species -- variations of life through common descent -- NOT the origin of the universe. Author wants to know where the universe came from (to "go bang"). Evolution does not address that. There are other theories that do, but it has nothing to do with Evolution.

(*) "Evolution" is almost always used synonymously with "Biological Evolution". That is Darwin's theory -- the one being contested by the Creationists/Intelligent-Designists.
