Default Heavily Critisised but I think Good Play?

PokerStars NL $50 max buy in. I was heavily critisised by all at the table for this play but I feel I played it spot on. (if I do say so myself )

Please discuss and I will post results shortly.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (9 handed) converter

MP1 ($49.25)
MP2 ($44.30)
MP3 ($61.90)
CO ($72.65)
Button ($75.65)
Hero ($63.25)
BB ($11.75)
UTG ($50.25)
UTG+1 ($49.50)

Preflop: Hero is SB with ? ?
<font color="#CC3333">UTG raises to $1.5</font>, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, MP3 calls $1.50, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, Hero calls $1.25, BB calls $1.

Hero checks, BB checks, <font color="#CC3333">UTG bets $4</font>, MP3 calls $4, Hero calls $4, BB folds.

Turn: ($18) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">UTG bets $12</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP3 raises to $24</font>, Hero calls $24, <font color="#CC3333">UTG raises to $44.75</font>, MP3 calls $20.75, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $57.75</font>, MP3 calls $11.65 (All-In).

River: ($176.90) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players, 1 all-in)</font>

Final Pot: $176.90

Results in white below: <font color="#FFFFFF">
Outcome: Hero has Ac Qc (flush, ace high).
UTG has Kh Kd (three of a kind, kings).
MP3 has As Js (one pair, jacks). Hero wins $176.90. </font>

I assume you won cuz of the

I could see folks getting pissed about KQc calling the turn madness when you had to know you were behind AQ there and drew out

I assume the flop was the only point of contention as you had the nuts on the turn?

They critized you for what? Calling the flop?

I only a minor problem with your turn check, given the other action has come from behind you.

I hope the guy with AJs wasnt yapping

UTG has Kh Kd

This is a good illustration of why AQ is not a hand to call UTG raises with. But it was a nice suckout.

You'd fold AQ to a 3xBB raise? Only from UTG? What about UTG+1, +2? Villain wasn't making us pay very much to suck him out. I think hero illustrated that the implied odds were there, though maybe that's results-oriented thinking.

I think this is more of an illustration of why not to raise to 3xBB UTG w/ KK.

Only 'maybe' on that last point. How much is hero going to lose when the flop comes Q-high? I'm guessing a lot -- certainly more than he'll win when the flop comes A-high (usually; he got lucky that to have AJ in the hand with him). That said, I'd probably call preflop w/ AQs (not AQo). It's close, though.

I assume you mean he should have raised more?

Do you guys like the flop call here?

I think I'd personally fold in this situation.
