Default flush on paired board--how\'s my line?

Pokerstars 1/2 (4 handed)

I am BB with J9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].

Preflop: UTG folds, Button raises to $6, SB calls, I call.

Both Button and SB seem decent, SB seems a bit on the loose-aggressive side, though nothing crazy.

Flop ($18): K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Checks around.

Turn ($18): K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

SB checks, I bet $13, Button folds, SB raises to $34, I call.

River ($86): A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

SB bets $42, I call.

How's this line? Too weak on the river? Or does anyone fold turn or river?

c/r seemed strong, but a flopped set didnt seem likely since there was no flop bet...

...river could have made a FH with slick, but AK seems unlikely as well, i think that probably reraises preflop...

...anyways, unsure about both turn and river, I'd like to hear any thoughts on this hand.

Are all of the stacksizes at or around 200.00? Stacksize plays a key role on how you're going to play this.

I'm not too concerned about a FH on this hand. As you said, AK is highly unlikely, as is a flopped set (based on the flop & turn action). After the Villains c/r on the turn, I'm re-raising a substantial amount & hoping to get all-in. You're vulnerable to re-draws, so you need to protect your hand. If he doesn't have a spade, a 4th spade falling on the river is going to kill any chances of making anymore money.

Definitely raise on the river.

yeah, my bad about stack sizes... I started the hand with $200, SB covers.

*bump*

Is this hand not interesting, or just simpler than I make it out to be?

Since SB is laggish, I would 3-bet the turn. You can't fold the river. The question is, should you raise this river?

Me too. If SB flopped a set then shame on him for letting you draw for free, he was fortunate to fill up.

Nice hand. Raising this river=dangerous IMO. You MAY get value from a lone King, but you will feel sick if you are 3-betted.

You may argue to 3-bet the turn. I like the way you played it otherwise.

i agree with most others here. You played just fine. Set and AK are damn near an impossibility unless the guy is a complete moron. The only thing i'd worry about is a higher flush, but you gotta call the river but i'd rule that out since a LAG would raise the nut/2nd nut flush draw. played fine on all streets.

Villain had AQ [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and MHING.

The more I think about it, the more I think calling the river is probably right, but Im still not sure about the turn. I really didn't think a flopped set was very likely, meaning the most likely holdings were a flush, trips, or maybe a random bluff/semibluff with A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
Since I haven't played too many hands with villain, I'm also unsure of how often he checks a decent K on that flop, and Im equally unsure about what he thinks I have (though a flush or trips certainly has to be within that range).
All in all, I feel like 3-betting the turn and folding to a raise is a viable option, not sure if its best though...
