30k hands (almost) of 1/2 6max stat post
Hi,
I don't post a lot, I know that, but I read 2+2 almost every day, I also don't play a lot, about 7k hands per month on average, I mostly 2-tabled the 1/2 6max but in the end I was playing 3 and even 4 tables sometimes, I planned on moving up to stars 2/4 6max game after I won a bankroll for the game (1000BB of 1/2), I managed to get 900BB of 1/2 before the party split (I was clearing multipoker bonus, and I also have rakeback at eurobet). I've played on poker stars before (last month fo the $120 bonus, played the 2/4 6max games and won very little on top of the bonus), now I've cleared the $150 reload at PS playing the same game 2/4 6max and I'm winning a little (about 1.70BB/100, sample is very small, about 3000 hands), the game doesn't look bad, it's more aggro than party but the rake is less compared to party 1/2 (in BB). So basically what I want to know is should I play the 2/4 6max game for a while and see what happens? maybe 10-20k hands before I give up or move up to party 3/6 6max? Here are my stats for 1/2 6max: If you got any comments or questions be my guest, I can also put up some 0.50/1 full or 2/4 6max stats if you want to look. Thank you all. Abelardo |

I'm no expert, but here's a link about 6-max stats from the Wookie: linky And actually, you're fine. I'd say your 2/4 results could be a combination of tougher play, new limit for you, and variance. 3k hands is too few to know. Others may have better info. |

Re: 30k hands (almost) of 1/2 6max stat post
$4 x 1.70 = $6.80 > $6.04 = $2 x 3.02.
I'd move up. The 1.70 is not statistically significant, but, since you're a clear winner at $1/$2, I would say the chance that the 1.70 understates your true $2/$4 BB/100 rather than it overstates your true $2/$4 BB/100. Good luck & have fun at $2/$4 !! |

I think you can value bet the river more, but other than that your numbers look solid. I think you're ready for 2/4.

I cant argue with that winrate.
I defend my BB a little less and I am a little less aggressive on the flop and more on the river. I would be interested to know how many times you win when you have one pair, two pair, 3-of-kind. And perhaps also how many you have had of each type so we can determine if you are running hot or not.(Or determine if I am running hot. ) |

Re: 30k hands (almost) of 1/2 6max stat post
Thank you all for the encouragement, tonight I'm going to deposit some more money at PS and give 2/4 a 10-20k hand try.
I know I have to value bet the river more, I'm going to look for hands where I checked the river and post them here. Keepitsimple: here are the stats hands that were not folded: and if anybody wonders here are my position stats: my standard deviation for 100 hands is 16.7737 Thanks again everyone, feel free to leave comments if you want. Re: 30k hands (almost) of 1/2 6max stat post
thx a LOT!!!
Turns out I am running a little bad with my big hands; I am winning 75,71,80,81% of the time with set,straight,flush,fullhouse.. Otherwise our stats are almost identical. Regarding your river play I think you are checking and inducing bluffs more than me. I am bet folding a lot more. I have for example folded 50% of the river bets(200/400) over my 7k hands.. Whereas you are on 30%. Maybe your strategy is better. I have to start learning when to bet fold or check call. |

Raise more preflop. Stop open limping. If I saw these stats from a player at my table I'd think "weak TAG I will push him around".

Re: 30k hands (almost) of 1/2 6max stat post
You fold to river bet just a little bit over 30%. I'm pretty sure your full ring stats would be way over that, right? Do you think those extra calls are +EV?
I would also like to see your pokerpattern plot. I'm 28/17 and experience lots of swings lately. I don't know if I tight up a little bit will it cause less swing? |
