Re: 44 in SB
I only 3-bet with 44 here against the most chronic blind thieves. I would probably check-fold the river.

Standard? [/ QUOTE ] Yes. I think if you wanted you could fold the 44 though, and be even more inclined to against a really tight raiser or stealer. Overall I think 3-betting is fine though. |

Re: 44 in SB
standard until river... i think you should bet/fold here... if he has you beat youre just gonna get value bet... in ducing a bluff is nice, but getting calls from Ahigh is nicer.

[/ QUOTE ] What about the benefits of a passive opponent not value betting? I think you save quite a bit when this happens. |

Re: 44 in SB
Is there any merir to check/folding the turn here. I would be tempted to do that v. 2 opponents.

Re: 44 in SB
Yea I think this makes it close. A lot of opponents would check through a 5, 7, or even like 88/99 etc. I think bet/fold has a higher EV than check/call for sure, but I think check/fold might have a higher EV than bet/fold for this reason. If I didn't feel comfortable folding I would bet. Flawless, what do you think about my assumption that a normal player won't value bet these hands very often?
