Default AQ in BB vs TAG

Vilann is TAG - as is everyone now on Empire.

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">4 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP2 raises</font>, <font color="#666666">4 folds</font>, Hero calls.

Flop: (4.50 SB) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Hero checks, MP2 checks.

Turn: (2.25 BB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero ?</font>

Looking for a plan here.

I lean towards betting, but if we get raised do we suspect a AK or AQ? And then what?

You could 3bet and stuff preflop if you wanted.

The flop check is pretty suspect. I'd check/call turn and check/call river. If he checks the turn, then bet/call the river.

I don't like betting the turn, because very often one of the following three things is going on:

1. Villain is stupidly trying to dupe you into paying off his K.

2. Villain has absolutely nothing and won't call a bet anyway (notice we have almost every hand we're beating drawing to very few outs in a small pot).

3. Villain has an inferior hand but will raise the turn anyway thinking we're "taking a shot at the pot" (this includes another AQ).

It's tough to fold here if raised, in my opinion, because our perceived range of hands here is huge and we'll get bluff-raised a ton. The board is so scary I don't see us hardly ever simply getting called down by a worse hand here (that wouldn't bet the flop). Therefore, all we can really do on the turn is check and call.

Similar logic applies on the river. There are so few hands, in my opinion, that will call the river that we are beating (that wouldn't bet the flop... note I'm discounting most all the pocket pairs here for exactly that reason), that I don't see much value in a bet here. So I check-call again. You can bet the river if the turn is checked through. Bet-folding the river would be okay but, again, I don't see us getting called here often and winning (we're hoping for basically QJ or something like that); villain will raise or fold most of the time.

This is about as WA/WB as you can get. Somebody is basically drawing dead. check/call, check/call. If villian is at all predictable, you can bet/fold the river.
