sell a share DURING a tournement
During the last WSOP - main even , after the 1st day ( the 3 waves ) , I had 60 000T$ , since 65% of the field was out , the avg. was like 30 000T$ . What would be the correct price per 1% ( if we assume that I am an avg. player compare to the field , which is wrong , but anyway ) . & how U make that calculation ?
ty for any help . - jpp |

Re: sell a share DURING a tournement
this is not known. there are a couple of methods to estimate equity mid-tournament (chip count method, icm) but there's no universally accepted answer.

Re: sell a share DURING a tournement
why in the world would you want to sell shares of yourself w/ 35% of the field remaining and 2x the avg stack? i dont' think i ever would...maybe i'm too greedy

Re: sell a share DURING a tournement
why does anyone sell anything?
i mean, if you can sell shares of yourself for more money than you think you are worth, then its +EV |

Re: sell a share DURING a tournement
This reminds me of the time I had an open-ended straight flush draw at Let It Ride. "Wow, I have about $3,000 of EV right now," I thought to myself, just as the last card blanked.

Everything is to sell , but if I am the seller , I can put the price I want .

Re: sell a share DURING a tournement
it doesn't always give something reasonable. if you have 99% of the chips and ROI 0% (i.e. breakeven), then you would demand 99% of the prize pool, or much more than 1st place $.
