I've been goofing around w/ Stud today. It's more fun than holdem. Of course, I don't know how to play. Any tips on this hand?

Why would he bet here? Do I call this down?

I would call here and most likely put him on two pair, because if he does have one of the other 6's he should have check raised you either on 5th street or certainly 6th street.

That's how I would have played it.

Crying call at the end. Hope for the best.

3rd I would just call

4th I would probably check for the free card since someone paired and one of your 8's is out now, a bet isnt that bad though.

5th is the same as forth but no one showed any aggression against your bets so a value bet might be in order.

6th the best he could have here by the way he played his hand is 10's and 6's, there arent many tricky .04/.08 players check/calling trips. I think you have to call since the pot is so big at that point.

I wouldn't raise 3rd because your pair is middle and your kicker is low.

Check 4th against a paired door card.

I think he's probably sitting much better than you on 6th. But you've got 8.5:1 odds to call and 12:1 against filling. I'd fold 6th.

I wouldn't rule out 666. I gotta imagine some people would play it that way. Just calling 5th hoping to bring the other guy along is possible.

Yeah, I don't like the initial raise. Since you got so deep in the hand, you have to call and hope.

I don't think you have to call 6th. I actually think calling is a mistake. You've got to put him on 10s up or better, right? We don't think he's sitting on his open 6s alone, so we're beat and with a dead 8, we aren't getting good enough odds to justify chasing 6th.

That presumes you want him to call 6th, which he shouldn't do. But yes, if he calls (read: spews) on 6th, then call (read: spew more) on the river.

Yeah, I thought he definitely had TT66 at least, and maybe a set. I don't have odds to hit the boat, and if I call I thought I'd have to call 7th, which didn't seem like a good situation to be in, so I folded.

The only other thing that entered my head was maybe he'd check 7th if he didn't have much, so I could just call 6th, but I didn't have any read/evidence that he'd do such a thing.
