Limp raise 88 from UTG?
party 15/30 I'm dealt 88 UTG.
I limp, it's folded to the cutoff who raises. Cutoff is 26/12/2 Blinds fold... What do you think of 3betting villan in this spot? |

Re: Limp raise 88 from UTG?
Depends on your player. If he's one of those types that will call you down no matter what then prob not. I like reraising here because it tells your opponent you have AA or KK because nobody does this play w/ any other hands. If he thinks like this... putting you on AA or KK and can fold if he misses the flop or maybe even if he makes a marginal pair then I say do it. Especially if you've done this play w/ AA or KK earlier. Then play your 88 like AA on the flop by reraising if he raises you etc... BUT only do this if you think the player is good enough to lay a hand down post flop.

raise preflop.
given you didn't and its another bet back to you, i prefer having position on the flop. Barron |

it realy depends on what villian thinks of you. but i prefer to keep the pot smaller and surprise him with my hand later.
