Default easy fold, right? (dumb PF question)

Sitting in a pretty good live 8-16 game. There are a couple players doing some serious PF lagging and it seems to be rubbing off on even the more passive players. I'm on the button with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].

UTG raises. UTG is mostly unknown, but seems like a thinking player who's on the tight/passive side.

UTG+1 calls. This guy is a total loose passive fish. He's been playing virtually every hand PF for any number of bets and has been getting lucky enough to brake even.

UTG+2 3-bets. This guy is a good player, can be a tad overagressive PF.

Folded to me and I...

fold, right? even with the button, guarenteed 4-way flop, and a decent hand, there's no way I can cold-call 3 bets here or cap, right? Is it ever right to cold-call 3 bets?

sorry if this is a stupid question. In the past I would have folded this without a thought (to even the first raise) but I actually thought about calling this one (I would have 3-bet if the UTG+2 hadn't done it first).

I would probably fold this. Your read on UTG is a thinking tight/passive player. You put him on a premium hand, then it gets 3 bet by an aggro. He probably is not 3 betting why anything less then 10's. Even suited I think it is an easy fold

A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] is a beautiful looking hand, but it's behind to a lot of hands like JJ, TT and dominated by hands K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], etc.

Even if you call, you will often fold on the flop, you will often make a second best hand and pay off a better hand. Occasionally you will flop a flush draw, top pair that will be good, etc.

It's probably close and depends on well you can play post-flop and how good your opponents are postflop.

entity: wish you could post your thoughts on this thread on a discussion of cold calling a 3-bet with JTs on the button.

the only way to proceed with this hand is to cap if you decide to play and that's not likely going to work out.
