Default Why do I always get in BLIND WARS? another 1-2 pp hand

SB is good player. have him down for 2.5 bb/100 in the game (only 5000 hands). But not a nit (just solid), we battle often and i have been kickin his rear lately.

anyways, he is sb i am bb

folded to bb, who raises. I have k [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]j [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
I reraise.

flop comes down 10 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

I bet, he calls. turn is k [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
I bet he raises. i reraise.

rvr is q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

what do i do here??

Did you threebet the turn thinking:

a.) You were ahead
or
b.) You wanted a free showdown?

If A, bet the river. If B, check the river.

Why not just call his turn check raise, and then decide if you want to put more money in on the river? Board isn't too drawy. If he is bluffing the turn, you loose him with the 3 bet. If he has a hand, he is betting the river anyway.

So only other option is that he has a draw, like QJ, and your 3 bet on the turn was best, and you should bet the river again for value since he got a pair of queens.

Bet the river or call a bet if he bets it. Most of the time he has a worse king or flopped a pair and decided right away on the flop he was going to checkraise you on the turn because he perceives you to be overaggressive. Either way, I think you're winning a majority of the time.

No, i thought i was ahead. I could see him having any pair or a lesser king here, or even a slightly better king, or even a draw. and he is probably paying just about all off. and i am paying off a checkraise. queen only helps one of those hands. unfortunately, i am not up to pokerbabe status where i can read through cards. so wasnt sure if it helped him or not, but not too many hands the queen helps. but at the time looked scary to me.

Unfortunately, I think J9 is a very likely hand (given that you posted the hand)...is that what he had?
