Default In fear of a set w/ a vulnerable overpair.

Villain (Button) is a 17/.7, so tight and passive. Which is why the button cold call and flop raise had me quite scared. On the river I am completely confused.

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
Hero raises, 2 folds, MP1 3-bets, 3 folds, Button calls, SB calls $7 (All-In), 1 fold, Hero calls, MP1 calls, Button calls.

Flop: (17 SB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players, 1 all-in)
Hero bets, MP1 calls, Button raises, Hero calls, MP1 calls.

Turn: (11.50 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players, 1 all-in)
Hero checks, MP1 checks, Button checks.

River: (11.50 BB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players, 1 all-in)
Hero ?

Final Pot: 11.50 BB

I think a lead w/ the OESD wouldn't be bad because of equity. Thoughts?

Edit: A few things that may be unclear. Three bettor is a typical Loose Passive who is on my buddy list. Button (villain) is a .7 AF.

Yeah you really have to bet the turn here. Raise on the flop could easily be a play for a free card. Because of the OESD you have a lot of outs even if raised. As played I lead the river.

why didn't you 3-bet the flop? or is this one of those better spots to "wait for the turn"?

Honestly, when a tight weak player calls three bets cold and then raises the flop on this board, I got scared. I'm not defedning my actions, just owning up.

These are my thoughts as well. Also a turn donk would be good because we will have the best hand a decent percentage of the time and getting raised isn't the end of the world considering we have outs.

If he was waiting for the turn he forgot to bet a good one. I think 3-betting the flop is pretty viable. Also, waiting for the turn in position would be ok. OOP seems silly.

Donnie, .7 AF is not that passive. Yeah, the turn action is prob inclufening this but I'd 3 bet the flop.

Looks to me like the button has A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] or some big A in spades. Bet the river. Fold if the button raises again. It wouldn't make sense for the button to check behind on the turn with a hand like TT or JJ given the flop action.

Could be flush draw. People will play Axs for 3 bets in these games. With the "safe" turn card, I think you lead out and don't give him the free card he was looking for. If raised again, I think you check/fold unimproved or bet/call if you hit and the flush doesn't get there, but given the way it played out, I'd defintely bet the river. I think I'd call, but I might not overcall. Who knows. You may see A8 as well.
