QQ on unpleasant board
I feel like I often misplay situations like this and take the wrong river action. The board is pretty scary, but villain often holds a lower pocket pair. Is it often enough that I should bet for value?
Villain in this hand was slightly loose and passive (32/8/0.8 over 40 hands at the time), but not out of hand. I hadn't seen any wild play from him, and wasn't sure what his call down standards were. How should my betting standards here change against different archetypes of villains, particularly TAGs? Re: QQ on unpleasant board
I think it's close, and for the sole reason that a raise may make me fold, I'd like to check and show it down. But betting isn't wrong imo.

Re: QQ on unpleasant board
If you can fold to a checkraise, go ahead and bet.
If you can't, then well, check it through Steve Griff |
