I Don\'t Like It....
I usually avoid low aces, but I've been trying to open up. The opening up is working great, but I'm not sure about this hand.
UTG - loose/passive... 65/0 after 30 hands. Button - Also loose/passive with almost identical stats. SB - Loose/aggro at 50/20. After the passive guy wakes up, am I done? Call down? Or am I losing value by not raising the turn? Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (6 max, 5 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is BB with 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. UTG calls, 1 fold, Button calls, SB raises, Hero calls, UTG calls, Button calls. Flop: (8 SB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players) SB bets, Hero calls, UTG folds, Button calls. Turn: (5.50 BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players) SB bets, Hero raises, Button 3-bets... Now what? |

I like it, it's doubtful he has a 4, isn't it? Seems like he has AKo/AQo or something.

I like raising the flop here against this field. At least make the bozos behind you pay 2 for their gutshots if they want to call. SB seems laggy enough that he'll pay you off with a smaller pocket pair even if you raise him on the flop. |

Re: I Don\'t Like It....
PF - standard
Flop - I really think you need to raise this. The pot is pretty big and you have to worry about protecting your hand. Sb could very well have a bigger ace but you don't want someone w/a 4 to draw out on you if you hit your kicker. I think a flop raise is the way to go and hope you don't get 3 bet. Turn - Well, I think I need to see what sb does on the turn before I know what I'll do. If he caps I think you can toss. If he calls, you have odds to call for your FH outs which are only 3 and not the traditional 4. |

Re: I Don\'t Like It....
This looks like the kind of situation where I grit my teeth and call down. I am definitley folding if it is capped back to me but I expect that the SB will fold and I will find myself up against 44.

Re: I Don\'t Like It....
If sb 3 bets me and its heads up, I think I still call any turn. I likely still have 7 outs. 3 for my two pair and 4 for my gut.
