Re: QQ early - a fold?
I was wondering about the reraise too.
Buyin is <= $3+0. (it was one of those 1 2 or 3.. forget which one) ------------------- Results: first raiser, AA - second raiser AK, 2 Q's on board. |

Re: QQ early - a fold?
One of those knuckleheads at least as AK, but you would have had better info IMHO if you had reraised preflop to 200 or so. So yeah, I fold it preflop - too early for likely coinflips with AK plus you might also be up against KK or AA.
EDIT: now that i see your $3 buyin reply, you likely have the best hand!!! I bet they showed something like A9 and 88! LOL EDIT #2 (yes, my final answer): So good fold preflop!!! |

Re: QQ early - a fold?
wow, no, definitely not too early for coinflips especially with the money in already.

[/ QUOTE ] The way the hand played out - limper who reraises, original raiser who reraises the limp/RR play - you're likely up against KK, AA, or AK. Two of those hands you are in big trouble to and you have 2 opponents sending warning bells versus just one so even a more clear fold IMHO. But at a cheap tourney like this one, I probably get it all in preflop as well since plenty of those players will still pull those plays with less than AK. Am I the only one who avoids coinflips early? All for them later on when the pots are bigger though and it's time for the final table or bust. |

Re: QQ early - a fold?
I'm way more likely to take a coinflip now than when it's close to the FT.
At the begining of a tournament your buyin is worht anywhere from 50% to 400% more than what you paid for it... Near the bubble it's way way higher. Which would you want to coinflip at? |

Re: QQ early - a fold?
Definitaly gotta fold this one. Anytime you get a limp reraise, with a min raise, at this buy in its aces, although if you were completing and could see the flop i would call. Now if utg raises 300 instantly and another guy pushes you are up against competing A-6 and call instantly.
