Default A-Q suited

I was playing in a 50 person 5 table tourney at my local casino with other members of my local poker club.

$30+3 Buy in
Starting 4000 in chips
Blinds every 20 minutes
Blinds started at 25 25

The blinds were at 250 and 500
I have 9000 in chips
I'm in middle position and limped with suited AQ [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
6 other callers including SB and BB
Now Pot is 3000
Flop comes 2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
I now have a flush draw with two over cards
Checks to me and I check
Last person to act bets 3000 into the 3000 pot
This was an aggressive person betting but she was new to the table and I wasn't sure how aggressive she was
I put her on two pair or a set
Now I'm thinking I'm getting 2:1 pot odds for my 1.86:1 draw
Keep in my I assume that I only have the flush draw and my two over cards are no good
I say ok I can call, but if I miss on the turn, then she'll definitely bet again so to see one card my flush draw is about 20% or 4:1 drawing odds. I said to myself, well my effective odds suck so I'm gonna fold this one and so I folded.
After playing a little while longer with the villain who bet 3000 on the flop, I realized that I made a huge mistake.
This villain was always making this move and I realized that I folded my AQ nut flush draw to her when when she probably had top pair at best and probably AJ or something else that I already had beat.
My flush draw had a 35% chance to get made with two cards to come( 9 outs). Plus my two over cards probably gave me 6 more outs giving me a 54% chance to improve(15 outs).
I believe that I should have pushed all in here.
Say I do only have a flush draw and she has middle set. I have a 35 % chance to make my hand plus probably at least another 15-20% chance that she folds right there.

I think that this was an embarrassing screw up on my part and I'm glad that nobody could see my hand.

I should have raised preflop. I should have semi-bluff bet the flop to prevent her steal and probably would have gotten a cheaper turn card. After these mistakes, I folded a hand that could have earned me 6000 to 12000 in chips.

Which mistakes do you think were the worst and what should I have done on the flop after she bet 3000 into me? I think I should have pushed all in, what do you think?

I think you definitely should have raised preflop.

Definitely raise preflop, and that said, find a way to go all-in on this flop.
