Default Interesting hypothetical scenario...

Imagine you were offered the power to read your opponents cards perfectly every hand. Enough to the point that they are practically face up to you. But if you were to take this power, you would never EVER win a hand that went to showdown.

Essentially, you have to use your talent to make someone fold because you will never ever win a hand.


So the best you could ever do in a tournament is 2nd place.

Would you take this power with the drawbacks that came along? could a winning strategy be developed without the ability to win a showdown? In NL holdem? In Limit?

The more I think about it, I think it would be viable for NL as long as you didnt stay at the table long enough to get caught bluffing alot. And I think that playing against better players would be much more profitable than donks.


But I dont analyze the game this way very often. I'm sure someone can come up with some better ideas than me [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
