Jacks, I fold

I am obviously weak. Friend and I disagreed while discussing this hand. Villian is a 45/5.5 with an aggression factor of .70. I have never seen him bet anything less than top pair. I have also never seen him bluff. If you raise or call here, please explain why.

I dont think this is a bad fold.

I cant see any draws unless hes betting a GS.

Id prefer to raise rather than call. U can fold MP who may have a Ace or something else we may want to fold and take a free SD.

Against some passive players you can raise this flop, check the turn and fold to his river bet. If he has 6x or 2x, it's likely that 2 more overcards to his pair will hit on the turn and river, so it's highly unlikley that he will fire again on the river with less than Kx.

Fold looks fine based on your read if you think the read is pretty solid. How many hands at the table with this opponent?

hmm. If Im playing I raise flop, bet turn, check river (cheaper than a call down HU). Unless hes betting to 3bet in which case the jig could indeed be "up".

I dont think its a bad fold, but I probably take the line I gave. Depends on your read though.

If you have played much with him at all then this description makes it an easy fold in my opinion, even if there is no one behind you. Basically your read is that he almost certainly has a K or better. That makes a fold imperative even for one small bet.

Sounds like you have played a lot against him. If you have, then folding is correct.
