Do you hold anything back?
I was talking to one of the top high stakes NL players (he has asked not to be named) yesterday who posts on here sporadically. He said that there are times he holds back his thought process when he posts because he thinks a lot of winning players at this level still don't think on the highest level. I'm curious if any of you do the same thing to some extent.
Since it's difficult to measure, let's define it as follows: Ex: You choose not to give advice about a hand because you don't want to divulge your 'higher level of thinking' This would count as holding back 100% Ex: You give someone advice but only explain half the reasoning behind it. An example of this would be telling someone to fold because the flush draw hit and not including some other reason for folding that is equally weighted. This would be holding back 50% Ex: You explain all of your relevant thought process. This would obviously be holding back 0%. Next, take an average. So if you saw 3 posts worthy of responding to, responded fully to 2, and 50% to the third, your overall average is 250%/3 = 83% This average is the number you should respond with in the poll. |
