Default Super Monday Hand - Final 20 w/AK facing 2 all-ins

I think we were just down to the final 20 so no pay increase until the final table.

EP: 50,372
Button: 22,028
Hero: 21,978

Blinds 2000/4000

EP pushes. Button calls. I have AK in the BB. I'm getting 2.8 to 1 odds and again, no pay increase until the final table.

If I fold, I'm down to 17,978 and posting the SB with blinds of 2000/4000. If I win I'll more than triple up (because of the SB).

Call or fold? (There could be a bit of math in this answer.)

i don't think theres much math to it, you have to call. the only time you're too far behind is if you're up against AA, or if its something like AK vs AK vs pair. Even if its AK vs AQ vs pair, you have odds. If its AK vs KK vs pair, you've got odds.

so basically, don't run into AA, if you run into KK make sure you have 3 live As, and don't run into a pair + another AK.

call

sorry not going to go deep into the math, but i think you're at worst a coinflip w/ EP. and MP COULD have AA/KK i think it's part of a significantly larger range since h onyl has 5BB's... so i thnk you're most likely a coinflip to triple up..however also a good chance you're like 70% to triple up (or split one of the guys money w/ the other)]

call.

Typical late stage table. Most pots won pre-flop by the big stacks who were raising regularly (and made it difficult for me to find a hand I could be the one to open with). Both villains were pretty tight but I didn't think the EP push with so many chips was a strong hand to say the least. The CO also waited until somebody busted on another table to guarantee 20th place before he clicked call. I think if he had AA/KK he would have instacalled but I could be wrong.

given the description on COs action alone makes this an easy call.

That makes this an easy decision.

I actually think it's a closer decision than people might think. What range of hands would you put the EP and CO on? Keep in mind that my read is very subjective and doesn't absolutely dismiss the possibility of a big hand for either.

<font class="small">Code:</font><hr /><pre>
5,289,739,685 games 10.469 secs 505,276,500 games/sec

Board:
Dead:

equity (%) win (%) tie (%)
Hand 1: 33.1431 % 27.06% 06.08% { AKs, AKo }
Hand 2: 30.9608 % 27.44% 03.52% { QQ-88, AJs+, AQo+ }
Hand 3: 35.8961 % 31.74% 04.16% { 99+, AJs+, AQo+ }
</pre><hr />

Hand 2 = UTG, ,Hand 3 = othe guy.

1) you're getting 2.8:1.
2) you have 5BB's
3) you're going ot need to double up few times.

Definitely think this is your spot.
