Default Very weak tighty turn check?

Utg+1 is 40/26.5 (preflop maniac)
Utg+2 is 24.5/7.9/1.6
Mp1 is a solid TAG
SB is 30/8.7/2.7

Is checking the turn here awful? I felt that i couldn't possibly be ahead here but let me have it.

UTG+1 may have open-raised with JTo or 33. UTG+2 may have then tried to isolate with 88. MP1 could have then capped with KK.

It seems like a lot to ask for, but that's one way you could be ahead. (I'm not sure there are a whole lot of others. We really need to MP1 to have KK or to have been capping light under the circumstances with TT or worse, and we need to be fortunate enough to be ahead of the other PFRs as well.)

Someone may be trapping, and someone could also have just turned a set, but I think you should probably bet the turn for value. Getting checkraised would suck here, though, and I can see that you were checking with outs. But it kind of seems like you're ahead.

Anyway, it's an interesting hand.

Incidentally, I actually think folding preflop is something to consider. But I might not be able to bring myself to do it.

I'd fold preflop a lot. In this situation calling might be better, since UTG+1 is opening light, UTG+2 may be isolating, and MP1 may know what is going on.

The turn check looks a lot worse than it is. It's a big pot and you have a good hand that can improve with a few cards, and a turn checkraise seems inevitable despite the wacky action. Then again, sometimes you're ahead.

The preflop 3-bet was probably light since the original raiser had been raising a lot lately. The TAG seems quite aware and can probably cap down to JJ here so i never really considered folding preflop with AKs.

Then the SB coldcalls the cap too which doesn't say alot but you know loosies love to coldcall with face cards.
It feels like the PF 3-bettor or SB are the most likely ones to have me beaten since the TAG wouldn't play a set this passively, I'm fairly sure he's got KK when we go to the turn.

Now i think that betting the turn is probably the right move since the villains are probably holding a few of eachothers outs and will call with very little due to the pot size. And if i get raised i always have a small hope of catching a T on the river.
