Maximizing Value

It seems that I have been getting calls on TPTK (AJ, from MP)hands, but not much stronger hands (sets, straights). I have posted a hand here that I would like some feedback on. How would you bet the turn?

I tried to bet $0.5 thinking that with 5 pre-flop callers someone hit something on the flop or at least would call with a gutshot. No Dice, folded around. The table numbers were 42%/4%.

on boards like this there is nothing you can do to maximize value. You could try checking and hoping someone would bluff, but you are better off betting and hoping someoen has a J....you can make lots of money off the guy with a naked jack. If nobody has a jack, then you are hosed and you can't really get any value.
