When Isolation Raises Go Bad
1/2 6max. Initial raiser has made four terrible steal attempts from the cutoff in five unopened pots. I suspect he's raising with any two trash cards. I decided to play back with a middleweight ace. Too marginal?
PokerStars 1/2 Hold'em (5 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx Preflop: Hero is Button with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. 1 fold, MP raises, Hero 3-bets, SB calls, 1 fold, MP calls. Flop: (10 SB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players) SB bets, MP folds, Hero raises, SB calls. I don't think folding is an option with 5 BB, 5 outs and a nasty board. The limper does not make any sense and frequently donkbets. I want a free card, so I raise. yes? If we change the 8 on the flop to a four, is it an obvious fold? Turn: (7 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) SB checks, Hero bets, SB calls. Lucky card, sparing me a third cutting editorial on my play. River: (9 BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) SB checks, Hero bets, SB calls. Final Pot: 11 BB |

Re: When Isolation Raises Go Bad
i don't play a lot og 6 max, but you did the ol' positional bitchslap which let you draw that ace.
