JJ 200NL - Am I a weak tightie-nightie?
Please comment on the following hand, I've not seen Villain do anything unusual leading up to now.. but I felt that his strong lead into several players meant I was in trouble.
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 9 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx Hero ($227.50) MP3 ($453.10) CO ($199.65) Button ($119.55) SB ($156.55) BB ($225.50) UTG ($367.50) UTG+1 ($276.55) MP1 ($63.15) Preflop: Hero is MP2 with J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $1. 1 fold</font>, UTG+1 calls $2, MP1 calls $2, Hero raises to $8</font>, 1 fold</font>, CO calls $8, 3 folds</font>, UTG+1 calls $6, MP1 calls $6. Flop: ($35) 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players)</font> UTG+1 bets $45</font>, MP1 folds, Hero folds, CO folds. Final Pot: $80 |

I think that's ok, you can find a lot better spots than that to put your money in. Maybe some of the better posters say something different though, I tend to be weak tight myself.

Re: JJ 200NL - Am I a weak tightie-nightie?
boy, i dunno, i think this is pretty tight
you have a draw heavy board, but nothing that an UTG limper should hit. Assuming he's decent, he's not playing any straight combination, and is probably folding 22-55 also UTG. So i suppose he could have 66, maybe a bigger limped overpair. But I'd expect somthing like two overs with a flush draw. For your hand, you don't get a much better flop than this. As far as how to play it. I call the flop, and push on any non spade, non ace. if a K or Q comes up, its dependent on villains play. *note: i just started NL100, so this is slightly above my level |

The overbet looks a bit suspicious, but you're way further behind when you are behind than you are ahead when you are ahead. I think laying it down is correct if you don't know what to make of the overbet.
