fastplay flop vs turn raise?
This is one question I dont know the answer to.
Situations HU with position, when do you do either? HU out of position? My guess fastplay more because you dont want to give away freecards. How do you mix these plays up vs certain opponents? Thanks |

Re: fastplay flop vs turn raise?
I fastplay the majority of my hands these days. Flopped sets or 2pair, straights that are at all vulnerable or non-nut flushes. I'd say I fastplay 90% of all solid made hands.

Re: fastplay flop vs turn raise?
Good board for fastplaying: 992
Bad board for fastplaying T53 Good board for fastplaying: J105 Bad board for fastplaying: K93 Good board for fastplaying: 346 Bad board for fastplaying: A22 Just checkraise every single flop HU OOP when you have any draw or made hand and you will be tougher to play than 95% of people out there. |

Re: fastplay flop vs turn raise?
i fastplay more out of position simply because i can not ensure a bet will go in if i don't do it myself.

Re: fastplay flop vs turn raise?
HU w/ position, i try to fastplay my more vulnerable hands that i still think are best. an example would be if you raise A9o on the button and the bb calls, HU. flop is 9 3 7 and he check/raises, i'm 3-betting here because a turned A, K, or Q might slow him down. if the flop was A 3 7, he's getting popped on the turn.
edit: i mix it up in these spots too. sometimes calling the turn and raising the river, sometimes 3-betting the flop. without position, i pretty much fastplay everything, unless i'm against an aggro fucktard with 2 pair or better and i know he'll bet the turn/pay off the check/raise. |
