Good fold?

Raise the flop. Big pot here, you've got top pair, ok kicker and a back door flush draw. Maximize your chances of winning it.

But the way you played it, I also muck the turn.

Even though I just posted it below, I'm going to ask why you don't recommend a flop raise?

I raise the flop trying to buy some information, as well as possibly for value.

I would normally raise that flop from MP onwards. Supplementary question: Played flop too weak UTG+1?

Your flop raise has nothing to do with your position relative to the button. It has to do with your position relative to the bettor. In this case, you've got the bettor, one caller and two yet to act. By raising there's lots going on.

1) You're likely to force out the remaining two opponents, giving the opportunity to act last on the remaining streets.

2) You may fold the bettor or caller (not likely though)

3) By gaining position, you can likely view a free river if for some strange reason you would want to (I cannot think of a reason just yet as why you would want to)

4) You probably have the best hand, this will be for value.

*Edit: To answer your supplemental question, yes, played too passively.

easy muck. are you really attached to your KT? I'm not. oh and there's no need to show the river action for the purposes of your post.

I'm probably just re-iterating, but -

Raise the flop. First, you challenge the PF raisor. You have TPGK and could very well have the best hand, but you'd like to buy position for future streets. If the BB 3-bets you, then you find out cheaply that you're up against a good hand and can likely fold to a turn bet UI.

The fold is fine, but I'm raising this flop with top pair decent kicker and a back-door flush draw.
