Default Completing the Small Blind

I would like to know what the forum thoughts are on completing the Small Blind when you have various limpers and poor cards? Do you still complete hoping for a miracle flop or do you save the chips. Early rounds I can understand completing becuase your chip stack is deep compared to the blinds but I struggle with mid tourney situations when you have a average or below average stack and high blinds? I also understand that it does present stealing opportunities every once in a while but was wondering what a basic good strategy was for SB play with cards like J8o or K5o?

if there are a few limpers i'll complete with most two suited cards.. and some none suited connectors... or any two broadway cards.

any suited or non suited single or no gap connectors. i really don't like playing paint with unders with gaps more than 1. those hands leave u exposed to a lot of trouble and a good % of your stack.

or at least my skill level is not there yet
