I think I call the raise on the turn instead of 3-betting. The river looks fine.

Nice river! [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] I pre flop and flop look just fine...turn though I prob would have just called his raise. I like the lead but I wouldnt have 3bet his raise. And the river is what it is. Nice hand.

The reason I 3 bet the turn is because the only hands I was afraid of him having that beat me are 99, J9 and MAYBE 44. He would have capped preflop with AA, KK, QQ, or JJ. Also I thought he was aggressive enough to 3 bet this turn with a really strong draw like QT or T8 spades which both would have been possible hands he would have preflop raised with and called a 3 bet. Other hands I put him on were AJ, KQ spades, and possibly even KJ (yeah he is that aggro). Is this logic OK?

That makes sense...what did he end up having? Like you said it depends on your read...if I was in his position and the BB 3 bet me and I held AA, I would smooth call from the cutoff to not give away the strength of my hand.

good point, I guess AA would not be out of the realm of possibility. I thought about it a second before three betting the turn, I will let you know the results when I get back from class.
