Default How bad is this?

39 remain, 20 pay, blinds 150/300, party tournament, avg stack = 5000.

hero has 10k in the bb, and has 76.

10k is 3rd-5th stack in the tournament, though hero's table has a 5 stacks between 7500 and 10,000, excluding his own.

CO opens to 600, and has 8.5k total. CO's been loose, particularly with his preflop raises, which have been between 600 and 1200 without much rhyme or reason known at this point.

folded to hero, who calls. pot 1350.

flop: 9c 8c 4h

hero checks, villain bets 1300, hero pushes.

how good or bad is this, with either hero having 76o, or 76c?
i have a feeling this is fairly standard with 76c?

76c is standard. How much continuation bets has been he been throwing out there, if hes been doing it liberally then I like 76o. edit- also with 76o i think its either allin or fold. i dont like calling here

calling definately sucks. I like your move. How can Villian put you on 7/6 here? Pushing definatly +EV

pre-flop? the stacks are 10k and 8.5k and the BB is 300.. i think its pushing it to call it an all-in or fold situation

Calling is ok here

i'm pretty sure he meant that it was all in or fold after having checked the flop, not preflop.

so no one bets out here or anything like that?

Did you even put Villian on a range here? He miniraised preflop. Unless miniraises have been taking down blinds, I fold flop. Stacks aren't deep enough to peel.

Edit: of course push with the flush draw though.

that was basically the response i meant to make to that guy. it's not like i'm trying to conceal the huge strength of my 76...

Maybe i'm just a wimpy player, but i'm not gonna push in the flop. U don't have a made hand, u have a draw, and ur hoping he folds, if he decides to disappoint, your only at about 33% chance of catching up. To me that means 67% of the time you won't. This close to the money, i don't do it. I would like to call his bet on flop, see what the turn brings. Maybe you make your hand, or maybe he shows weakness as to where you can semi bluff at him. You have enough chips in your stack that u can get away from the hand without having to struggle. Great googly moogly

i'd fold pre-flop. if i thought this were the kind of guy who'd fold to a reraise, i might reraise, but i would very rarely call.

i think it's pretty standard with 76o or 76c once you check and he bets that big. you're in a much trickier spot if he bets a more normal 800-900. then the c/r a-i is looking pretty gigantic.

you're gonna c/r the turn when you miss and he makes a "weak" bet?

seems to contradict:
