Default Yet another reason B&M play is better than online

Wired Magazine did an article about online poker bots, something we live players don't have to worry about...

I guarantee you that if Bot play becomes popular, 2+2ers will crack them and rob people for all they're worth.

Bots are just not very good (still).

There are pros and cons to each when comparing B&M play to online.

To my knowledge, there aren't many instances of marked-cards online.
Obviously collusion can exist at either.
the rake is worth live and you are generally obligated to tip a buck to the dealer on top of that.
And you are getting 10x more hands possibly if you are an online-multitabler.

If bots rely on stats for how they play vs certain players, surely they would be very susceptible to random tricky play

the free drinks aren't REALLY free since I am kind of expected to tip and they are kinda watered-down anyway.

The women that bring them to me are generally not THAT attractive either.

I certainly don't play live poker for the women-oogling..that's for sure. There are plenty of other places that are MUCH better for that.

If the bots run amuck, all us online players will just flood the casinos.

Do you really want to play against several $1/2 online players who make the "good" regulars look like idiots? (Probably low to mid limits only.)

It won't be long until we'll be wearing disguises so no one will notice we're moving back and forth between 4 live tables. Then dogs and cats will be living together: mass hysteria!!!!
