Oh God I suck at PLO8
Playing PLO8 on Caribbean Sun to finish clearing some bonuses, as they have no LO8 games going. Bad call preflop, but how bad was postflop? Should I just check-fold this? And this is why I stick to LO8.

Automatic fold preflop, what's a J-high flush going to get you besides lint in your pockets?
Call for half the pot on the turn, you're seeing 24xx a lot more times than a higher flush, hope you don't get scooped.

Your hand isn't very strong, and you cannot call a bet. However, you do have position and no one else has shown any interest in the pot. Normally in these situations (on a monotone board) I like to bet about one-half or two-thirds of the pot and hope to take it down right there. The problem here is that if anyone calls, then you'll have to give up and concede the pot. This is complicated by the fact that two low cards flopped and the field is large. This reduces your chances or taking it down right there so it's safer to not even try.
Instead you bet, got called, and are now out of position when the low becomes enables on the turn. You can definitely give up now. Check and fold. You bet and jusu makes a nice raise on the turn. He may have a slowplayed nut-flush or he may just have the nut-low and is now trying to apply some pressure. Either way, you have a one-way non-nut hand and can't take the heat.

People on this forum tend to be abrupt instead of always explaining why you played a hand badly, so I will give it a shot (mute just tell me that I suck if I get it wrong [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img])
Pre-flop: Auto muck. This hand only has 2 reasonable features (K high flush draw and 3 cards above 9) but neither are strong enough to call here. Do really want to be calling pot bets with a K high flush draw? Also that 6 is a dangler and greatly reduces your chance of making broadway. Here is the real question to ask everytime you click call pre-flop. What flop am I looking for and how often will I get it? In this case there are few flops that you really like and those flops will not come very often. Flop: You flopped the 2rd nuts for the high with a low draw out. Betting here is not horrible (not good but not horrible) if the table is tight and you are talking a stab at the pot. However since 7 people saw the flop my guess is that the table isn’t tight. In a full ring someone will be dealt a higher flush then yours somewhere around 2:3 so this is not a hand that you want to marry. I would suggest checking the flop and seeing what everyone else does. Turn: That is a horrible card for you. Someone liked their hand enough to called your flop bet and now you have the 2nd nut high with no low. I wouldn’t ever lead into this pot but I think that you have to call and pray at this point because you are paying $40 to win a $140 pot. I would never have put myself into this situation but once there I think that making a crying call is the best option once you get there.
