Visiting Chicago - Need cardroom recommendation plz.
Visiting Chicago Sept. 14, 15, and 16 on business and would like to play anything 5/10 - 10/20, prefer 10/20. Any locals out there that could recommend a good room with a "good" 10/20 game?
I will be staying on Michigan Avenue about a mile from McCormick Place and somewhere near the "magnificent mile". Also will not be renting a car, so I'll need use a cab. First time in Chicago, so I know nearly nothing about the city. Thanks in advance, pal |

resorts east chicago and trump are your best options. both have shuttles that leave somewhere from the loop. check the website, i do believe the shuttles are offered by the actual casino.

Re: Visiting Chicago - Need cardroom recommendation plz.
All local poker rooms in the Chicago area are badly operated rooms.
If you will be staying downtown Chicago, use your money, to visit the Art Institute, Museum of Science and Industry,Natural History Museum, Aquarium, Lincoln Park Zoo, Chicago Historical Society, or go to a Cubs or Sox baseball game. All are easy to travel to from downtown. There is also the Oak Street beach, for girl watching, etc. Have a wonderful time....IN CHICAGO ILLINOIS. Do not waste your 3 measley days in our fair city driving out to Indiana 30 miles away to play poker - that would actually be pretty ridiculous. Stay in the city - get some food - take in some sights - there is plenty to do. |
