Default deep 1/2 ring home game

villain is one of tigher at table and probably sees me as a FOS spewer, he has 550ish i have 1100ish

he says he's playing his last hand, and i make some crack about quads over quads and hes better off leaving now

he opens to 10 in EMP, i'm the only caller in BB with J8o

Flop: 5 8 8 rainbow

he bets 20, i call

turn: 9 rainbow

he bets 50, i make it 150, he thinks for awhile and calls

river: A

plan?

i agree with this, but the smoothe call isnt terrible given the board. if hes got a brain i just calling a river bet, or if he checks im gonna stick a vb in there.

hard to tell your postion from your post.

i dont like your line being your first to act here. i prefer leading all the way here. the river is kinda read dependent here. i think he has an overpair by the way it played out so i probably lead for like 250 and hope he smoothe calls.

Didn't know you were first to act throughout the hand. In that case, I like leading the flop/turn, and depending on read, either check/calling or block/value bet the river.
