Default The Third Bet Bluff Redux

A while back I posted this hand where I identified an opportunity to put a 3rd bet in and knock my opponent (Che) off of what was likely a small/medium pair. Unfortunately I didn't pull the trigger and later learned that this move would have worked.

In last night's 25k guaranteed I ran into a similar spot vs a villain who I know to be agressive/tricky and who likes to defend his blinds. We have played together a fair amount and he should see me as pretty tight/solid but knows that I will usually make a continuation bet after raising preflop. Who likes the third bet here?

i'm too much of a coward to do that, but if you're ever going to do it, this is the time.

Like I told you last night, I like this push if you have a read, which you did.

villian gets you all in, and flips over 4's leaving you with nothing, except wondering why you pissed away your entire stack when you were in otherwise great shape. gg

my only problem with it is that it looks kinda weird. a K often just calls there, imo.

I didn't think I would be representing a K here with a push as much as a 99+ type of hand. However on second thought if I put him on a smallish pair I might try to get the chips in with a K to prevent a scary turn card from killing my action, so it's not unreasonable for Villain to at least think about the possiblity that I have a K.

Villain needs to fold over 1/2 the time to make this +EV, so there isn't much margin for error.

Against this villain, however, it sounds like a good play.

Later,
Che
