Just a quick hand
I was just goofing around for a few minutes here. Villian seemed solid but I was playing a total of 10 minutes and was working so wasn't paying attention.
PokerStars 5/10 Omaha/8 (5 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is Button with T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. 1 fold, MP calls, Hero calls, SB completes, BB checks. Re: Just a quick hand
Hi MarkD,
You said you were only goofing around so - when the Qh comes on the turn and BB bets, that would have been a good time to fold because: a) he most likely has the flush, so you're already trying for only half the pot since your inside straight possibilities have been dashed b) your nut low isn't protected by any other prime low cards, so is easily conterfeited, and your Ace isn't suited c) BB might easily also have the A, 2 of hearts, or another A,2, meaning you may be quartered even if you get your low As you can see, you did end up being counterfeited. You have to be careful with a bare A, 2. |

Given that I did not fold the turn, once I see the river is it correct to call with my 6 low? |

"Hero has the A hearts"
Of course you're right - I didn't even look at what suit his Ace was since I was so involved in making my little point about realizing that the opponent could also have an Ace, 2, and might even have a suited one (which the OP doesn't). Sorry! |

Re: Just a quick hand
In answer as to whether you should have called the river with your A, 6 low - I don't think the pot odds warrant it, as you would only be going for half the pot.
