Deep Stack Insanity - NL400
Villian in this hand is TAGgy - 24/4/3 over 90 hands. I've been playing fairly tight after I doubled up by sucking out a boat against a flush early in the session. I start the hand with $734, villian has me covered.
Folded to me on the button, I make it $14 with 87. Villian calls from the SB. Flop ($32): A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Villian checks, Hero bets $20, Villian raises to $40, Hero calls Turn ($112): 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Villian bets $60, Hero raises to $200, Villian calls River ($512): J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Villian checks, Hero bets $480 (all-in), Villian folds Thoughts? Is this a good example of using deep stacks to pull off an elaborate bluff or am I chip spewing after the suspicious flop min-raise? |

Re: Deep Stack Insanity - NL400
Really looks like Villain may have flopped 5's and gotten fancy. Then it seems like you may have been representing the flush with the turn raise and really representing it on the river.
Put him on a range of hands after his check min-raise. If that doesn't include a flush draw, the bluff seems like it's good given that the board didn't pair by the river. |

[ QUOTE ]
Put him on a range of hands after his check min-raise. [/ QUOTE ] After the CR i figured him for something like AJ, AT. When he called the turn raise I was thinking probably aces up or maybe the set of fives. I figured he'd probably call the set on the river but fold the others. |
