Flop: ($49) J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero bets $35, BB raises to $70, MP folds, Hero folds.

Final Pot: $154

My main question is this: most of you bet out on this flop, correct? I have a gutshot, plus my pair, and I want to figure out where I am.

However, there are a lot of possible draws, and the overcard is scary. Is checking the better play here?

There are a lot of players here who wouldnt reraise QQ here. Makes it much easier to get away from a flop with overcards. 4 handed I check fold this flop.

make it 20 preflop (these kind of raise are essnetial with QQ short handed oop)

Looks good to me. You can't really check because you'd have to fold to a bet and there's still a decent chance neither of them have hands that can continue after the flop. I think you played it good. Shut down if called on the flop (except if you improve)
