Default A common QQ scenario

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 5 handed) converter

UTG ($198.70)
MP ($107.85)
Button ($359.35)
Hero ($398.55)
BB ($136.70)

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Hero posts a blind of $1.
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP raises to $4</font>, Button calls $4, <font color="#CC3333">Hero (poster) raises to $14</font>, BB calls $13, MP calls $11, Button folds.

Flop: ($49) J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $35</font>, <font color="#CC3333">BB raises to $70</font>, MP folds, Hero folds.

Final Pot: $154

My main question is this: most of you bet out on this flop, correct? I have a gutshot, plus my pair, and I want to figure out where I am.

However, there are a lot of possible draws, and the overcard is scary. Is checking the better play here?

There are a lot of players here who wouldnt reraise QQ here. Makes it much easier to get away from a flop with overcards. 4 handed I check fold this flop.

Looks good to me. You can't really check because you'd have to fold to a bet and there's still a decent chance neither of them have hands that can continue after the flop. I think you played it good. Shut down if called on the flop (except if you improve)
