Playing to win, or unecessary risk?

Live MTT
Just under 30 left top 15 get paid
Average stack at 33K, I have 32K
Blinds 500-1500 100 ante, round almost over next level 1000-2000 150 ante (4500 per orbit)

Limper UTG+1, and MP3, SB folds, Hero check BB (82c)

Flop 679 two spades.
Hero Bet 3000, UTG+1 reraise to 6000, MP all in for 9000

Now UTG+1 has 12000 chips left (pot commited) so basically it's 15000 to me to win 33000 chips and be up to 60K plus. Anyone make this call? Is this simply a push for first move, or needless risk, at average stack? I know the pot odds in no way justify it.

At this point, I would probably fold. If it had just been a raise, I might have pushed all in - but against a raise and a re-raise, there is a good chance that you are facing both a flush draw and a large pair - you may even be drawing dead to J8 or something like that.

I really don't like betting the flop here either. Why not seeing what kind of action is out there? THis flop is very likely to have hit a couple of limpers, why ot see how they react to it? This is live too. You have a chance to SEE how they feel about the flop - maybe you can chk/push. I'm chk/folding this a lot, but I'll check push here occasionally. Also, if it gets checked around on the flop, you can fire a turn bet then. I just doen't see your flop bet taking down this pot on this board very often. It is like you are trying to commit yourself to this hand.

I pushed lol, when I woke up this morning I couldn't believe I did that, but had to get some feedback. I worked all day and didn't have a chance to eat before the tournament so by hour 5 I was dead, and knew I had a huge mistake coming, sure enough. I got owned on that hand but I managed to get back to 15K after that hand and then all in with it for a coin flip my AJ vs. 99's but didn't happen and I went home.
