QQ against LAG on scary board
Party 50NL
Villain is a lag like 70/40. Playing at the table for about 15 minutes. His preflop raises are huge like 5-7$. Postflop he keeps on betting all the time. One time he called an all-in with QTo for 50$. I have 105$, he covers me. I have Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] with position on him. Villain raises to 7$. I consider reraise him but I decide to just call it. Everybody folds. Flop comes K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Villain checks, I check. Turn 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Villain checks, I check. River A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Villain checks, I bet 10$, Villain raises to 40$. What is your move??? |

Re: QQ against LAG on scary board
Bet the flop. Not betting that flop is horrible. And bet the turn. Any diamond is drawing to beat you. That's a lot of hands.
As for the river, you are probably beat, but if he's very LAG, you can call. |

Re: QQ against LAG on scary board
you really butchered this one
pot the flop, pot the turn, then the river is no problem, as you played it, you are in big trouble. |

Not re-raising PF is pretty bad. Not getting all in somewhere is pretty bad.

Pushed and reloaded. He had the nuts... [/ QUOTE ] Push is not good here on the river ... I think you have to re-raise him pre-flop, and bet 2/3 or pot on the flop. If he calls, you can slow down unless the board pairs. |
