Default AA spew.

Game is yummy, been running short like this for quite some time. However this situation pissed me off as I always seem to do it. I 3-bet my overs because...well why not...and then get capped. I know I am now behind to at least a 2 pair, maybe a set. Don't know much about my opponent other than he is fishy and can call from the SB with anything. Literally. So let's say it is 2 pair...K and something maybe, does anyone here call the turn and the fold the river ui? Does anyone fold to the cap?

But then I think...wait, maybe he is overplaying TP or better yet K and some spades! See, I dont have the A of spades, he just might be on the nut flush draw. Yes thats it! I then proceed to come up with more elaborate bullshit reasons for why I think I am ahead.

I suck at this game.

I would often end up paying off without a read that he is reasonable, but I think that the turn threebet is really bad.
If you were out of position fine, but in position wating till the river is much better. It allows you to wuss out if something bad happens like the King pairs or another spade comes off, and makes him less likely to threebet two pair.

I think the turn 3bet is too much.

and we can fold the river. this is way too much for a flush draw, and he can't have a K and a flush draw at the same time.

yeah dont mind that, i was just illustrating how i was coming up with wacky reasons to pay off.

but a lot of people wait for turn to raise TP - a lot...seems to be a favorite of mid-stakes players, tags/fish alike.

the problem is we are only picking up one extra BB when ahead and losing two extra when behind. I think we are behind > 33% of the time we go to showdown in this spot.
